Visiting the VALLEY OF A THOUSAND HILLS we enjoy a full day walk and drive tour. It is here we meet with local Zulu people and experience real Village culture and hospitality. The community-based tour guide will educate and demonstrate to us traditional values of the Zulu people. This is a tour that is definitely not for your average tourist as each day is different and involves active participation into the interesting lives of the Zulu people.

As the guest of a Zulu family in the village you begin to ponder on the traditional values of these amazing people. The adventure starts with the Face to Face daytrip and while guests return to Durban you stay on to enjoy an evening with this highly sociable community. A percentage of the above two tours is donated to the community development trust.

A full day tour incorporating walking and driving, you choose! This tour is broken into two parts allowing the guest to choose what best suits their ability and interest in the Drakensberg. Alternatively you can opt for the three-day tour under our Safari’s section.
